At Thrive Tribe we deliver award-winning healthy lifestyle and wellbeing programmes that make people happier and healthier! It’s a super exciting time to join us as we begin to deliver our Stop Smoking Service across the City of London and Hackney (Smokefree City and Hackney!), and we’re looking for several Stop Smoking Advisors to join the team!
Our programmes are designed to support individuals to improve their health behaviours and make sustainable changes to their lifestyle. Residents across the City of London and Hackney will be able to benefit from a variety of our established stop smoking pathways, including Gloji Smokefree, our online programme. As a Stop Smoking Advisor, your role will be to deliver face-to-face stop smoking support to eligible clients alongside the online resource.
Like all roles at Thrive Tribe, you can expect your time at work to be fun, varied and challenging. We don’t like to stick to a firm JD as we know from experience that things change throughout the lifetime of a role, and it gives our people the chance to play to their strengths.
A typical day as a Stop Smoking Advisor might include:
- Delivering evidence-based interventions that focus on smoking cessation, behaviour change, and psychological support to save lives by helping smokers quit for good
- Running stop smoking clinics across the area, working with clients on both a one-to-one and group basis
- Working with partner organisations and colleagues in Primary Care to help improve client uptake and meet targets
- Ensuring an excellent and safe experience for clients, in alignment with our policies and procedures
- Engaging in training relevant to your role, such as NCSCT Stop Smoking training and Behaviour Change Level 1 and 2
- Working with colleagues across all of our Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments – we’re always looking to share knowledge and resources!
- Ensuring due consideration is given to Information Governance and Clinical Governance legislation, requirements and guidance
- Helping us maintain the ethos of Thrive Tribe by driving our organisational culture forward across our services and using every opportunity to embed our values!

To work with us in this role you will need to have some delivery experience of supporting clients to make healthy lifestyle choices, bonus points if you’ve already completed your NCSCT Stop Smoking Advisor training!

Contract: We have 1 x Full Time (37.5 hours), Permanent, and 1 x Part Time (0.9 FTE), Permanent positions available. Please indicate on your application whether you are applying for the Full Time or Part Time Position.
Salary: Starting at £24,000 FTE (pro-rata for Part Time position would be starting at £21,600), rising through annual increments to £27,000 FTE (with opportunities to earn up to £30,000 FTE as a Senior Stop Smoking Advisor).
Closing Date: The closing date for applications is Wednesday 15th May 2024. We reserve the right to close the opportunity early should we receive enough qualified applicants.

Location: This is a hybrid role. The majority of your time will be spent delivering face-to-face sessions across the City of London and Hackney, whilst you are not delivering you will be able to work from our Stratford office base or home.
