Join us on our journey to empower over a million people to change their behaviours and thrive!
At Thrive Tribe we deliver award-winning healthy lifestyle and wellbeing programmes that make people happier and healthier! It’s a super exciting time to join us as we begin to deliver our Stop Smoking Service across the City of London and Hackney (Smokefree City and Hackney), and we’re looking for a Community Engagement Lead to join the team!
Our programmes are designed to support individuals to improve their health behaviours and make sustainable changes to their lifestyle. Residents across the City of London and Hackney will be able to benefit from a variety of our established stop smoking pathways, including our online offering (Gloji Smokefree) as well as face-to-face support.
As a Community Engagement Lead, will manage a small engagement team consisting of two Community Stop Smoking Leads and a Healthcare Engagement Lead. As a team you will be responsible for leading on targeted community development work which will include outreach activity, building local relationships, and coordinating local co-production activities. The aim will be to build up awareness of the root causes of local health inequalities and to identify locations and methods for providing support.
Like all roles at Thrive Tribe, you can expect your time at work to be fun, varied and challenging. We don’t like to stick to a firm JD as we know from experience that things change throughout the lifetime of a role and it gives our people the chance to play to their strengths.
A typical day as a Community Engagement Lead might include:
- Liaising with external organisations to build effective partnerships and promotion of Smokefree City and Hackney, particularly within primary care locations, voluntary and community services
- Taking on line management responsibilities for a small team of Community Stop Smoking Leads and one Healthcare Engagement Lead, enabling them to carry out their roles effectively
- Working in partnership with Thrive Tribe’s centralised marketing team to build your marketing and communications strategy, as well as developing promotional campaigns and resources
- Leading our approach to co-production within the community
- Leading on outreach activities with an aim to drive engagement across the service and exceed our KPIs, such as attending networking events and delivering presentations across the City of London and Hackney
- Establishing effective and reliable referral relationships with local community and health partners from a variety of settings including GPs, hospital trusts, mental health trust and voluntary organisations.
- Working with colleagues across all of our Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments – we’re always looking to share knowledge and resources!
- Ensuring due consideration is given to Information Governance and Clinical Governance legislation, requirements and guidance
- Helping us maintain the ethos of Thrive Tribe by driving our organisational culture forward across our services and using every opportunity to embed our values!
