Join us on our journey to empower over a million people to change their behaviours and thrive!
At Thrive Tribe we deliver award-winning healthy lifestyle and wellbeing programmes that make people happier and healthier! It’s a super exciting time to join us as we begin to deliver our Stop Smoking Service across the City of London and Hackney (Smokefree City and Hackney!), and we’re looking for a Community Stop Smoking Lead (Black African & Caribbean) to join the team!
Our programmes are designed to support individuals to improve their health behaviours and make sustainable changes to their lifestyle. Residents across the City of London and Hackney will be able to benefit from a variety of our established stop smoking pathways, including Gloji Smokefree, our online programme.
As a Community Stop Smoking Lead, your role will be split between undertaking targeted community development work which will include outreach activity, building local relationships, and coordinating local co-production activities specifically within Black African and Caribbean communities, and delivering face-to-face stop smoking support to clients within these communities.
Like all roles at Thrive Tribe, you can expect your time at work to be fun, varied and challenging. We don’t like to stick to a firm JD as we know from experience that things change throughout the lifetime of a role and it gives our people the chance to play to their strengths.
A typical day as a Community Stop Smoking Lead might include:
- Leading on outreach activities with an aim to drive engagement across the service, such as attending networking events and building partnerships with external organisations within target communities
- Championing our approach to co-production within the Black African and Caribbean community
- Delivering evidence-based interventions that focus on smoking cessation, behaviour change, and psychological support to save lives by helping smokers quit for good
- Ensuring an excellent and safe experience for clients, in alignment with our policies and procedures
- Engaging in training relevant to your role, such as NCSCT Stop Smoking training and Behaviour Change Level 1 and 2
- Working with colleagues across all of our Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments – we’re always looking to share knowledge and resources!
- Ensuring due consideration is given to Information Governance and Clinical Governance legislation, requirements and guidance
- Helping us maintain the ethos of Thrive Tribe by driving our organisational culture forward across our services and using every opportunity to embed our values!
