Join us on our journey to empower over a million people to change their behaviours and thrive!
We usually respond within three days
Join us in our mission to support and champion any man worldwide who wants to win his battle against fat and get healthier!
MAN v FAT is an award winning, innovative men’s health provider that operates three programs, MAN v FAT Soccer, MAN v FAT Rugby and MAN v FAT Football.
Our programmes are exclusively for overweight and obese men to improve their physical and mental health. Launched in the UK in 2016 by male weight loss specialists, MAN v FAT programs appeal to men who love their sport and want to improve their health.
The unique part about these programs is that the leagues are decided not only on points won, but pounds lost! More information can be found at www.manvfat.com .
MAN v FAT has over 160 Football and Rugby leagues across the UK. We’re now taking MAN v FAT Soccer across the US. We already have 20 thriving leagues across four states, where the community is already growing in size and success – but this is just the start!
Our MAN v FAT Soccer Expansion Managers key metric will be to scale MAN v FAT Soccer for greater impact and reach. You will be overseeing our current club operations as well as supporting the planning, implementation and execution of new clubs in multiple states.
This role requires strong leadership, exceptional project management skills, a passion for soccer and public health. The ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders including facilities, Coaches, healthcare providers and community organizations is also essential.
Key responsibilities for our MAN v FAT Soccer Expansion Manager will include:
Lead multi-state program operations: Oversee the rollout of new clubs and ongoing management of existing clubs across multiple states. Ensuring SOP’s are followed consistently alongside quality delivery, and alignment with organizational goals.
Develop and manage project plans: Create detailed timelines, budgets, workplans, milestones, and deliverables for each program phase; monitor progress, recruit Coaches and ensure clubs are losing weight and building positive communities.
Stakeholder coordination: Build and maintain relationships with state-level facility partners.
Explore new markets for the program: This could be opportunities to partner with new facilities, start an expansion into working with health insurers or securing funding or sponsorships for clubs.
Budget and resource management: Each club will have financial performance expectations. This means player numbers need to be closely monitored and delivery budgets clearly managed.
Monitoring, evaluation, and reporting: MAN v FAT Soccer is about weight loss and community first, soccer second. Each club should be closely monitored to ensure the culture, ethos and outcomes expected are being achieved.
Compliance and risk management: Ensure all programs comply with our health/safety standards. This will include training Coaches and scrutinising local risk assessments.
Team leadership and support: Supervise the state-based Club Support teams, Coaches and Referees where relevant. Positive culture is an important part of MAN v FAT’s ethos.
Travel and representation across the US: You may be expected to travel regularly to check out new venues, complete quality assurance club’s visits and attend conferences. There may also be very occasional travel to the UK for training and development or leadership meetings.
Work collaboratively with our Global Operations Manager, Mobilisation Support and the Global Marketing team to make MAN v FAT Soccer the best program it can be.
Grant, sponsorship or funding support: Assist in grant writing, reporting, and identifying new funding or commercial opportunities to sustain and expand the program or brand.
Helping maintain the ethos of MAN v FAT by driving our organizational culture forward across our clubs and using every opportunity to embed our values.
Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational mission.
