It’s a super exciting time to join us as we begin to deliver our newly awarded Smoking Cessation support service across the Isle of Wight, and we’re looking for a Engagement & Partnerships Manager to join us!
Our programme is designed to support residents of Isle of Wight access the support they need to stop smoking. This can be done through a number of approaches and will include the supply of Nicotine Replacement Therapies (NRT) being sent to them. Combining these, with digital, remote or face-to face appointments with Stop Smoking Advisors to support them to ensure their quit attempt is successful.
As an Engagement & Partnerships Manager, you will be required to develop strong relationships with healthcare professionals/organisations/services across the Isle of Wight, in addition to community organisations, networks and services, promoting the programme and supporting the generation of referrals into the service. You’ll be required to cultivate effective partnerships to support our co-production aims of building a smoking cessation programme that highlights then delivers what is required by key population groups and demographic areas.

A typical day as a Engagement & Partnerships Manager might include:
- Forming, developing and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals across the integrated care system (ICS), including; the integrated care board (ICB) at Primary Care Network (PCN) level, GP Practice level, and NHS Trust level (secondary care; acute and community)
- With strategic guidance from the Engagement & Partnerships Lead, implement our marketing and communications strategy, to ensure the service meets its key performance indicators
- Adopt a highly strategic and targeted approach to engagement and partnership management, aligned to the service's focus on key priority groups and populations, and our children and young people support pathway
- Liaising with external organisations to build effective community partnerships and promotion of the Isle of Wight Smoking Cessation programme, specifically within voluntary and community services.
- Maximise the use of our community outreach vehicle, in line with our overarching marketing and communications strategy
- Deliver very brief advice training to key stakeholders across the system, to support referral generation into the service
- Working in partnership with Thrive Tribe’s centralised marketing team, and the local Marketing Lead on marketing and communications plans, such as promotional campaigns
- Leading on outreach activities with an aim to drive engagement across the service and exceed our KPIs, such as attending networking events and delivering presentations across the Isle of Wight.
- Establishing effective and reliable referral relationships with local community and health partners from a variety of settings, including; voluntary organisations, workplaces & businesses, groups/networks that represent our priority populations, schools and settings that engage with children and young people
- Promoting our pathways to priority groups in line with our KPI’s, focusing on global majority groups and those from deprived areas
- Maintaining an up-to-date record of service stakeholders and assisting with the dissemination of communications with partner organisations
- Attending networking/outreach events and relevant healthcare professional meetings (e.g. PCN meetings, the Tobacco Control Alliance) to share information about the programme, ensuring colleagues in primary and secondary care are aware of the eligibility criteria, referral routes, the efficacy of the programme, embedding ‘our place’ within the system, as a valuable contributing partner
- Engage in joined up working with primary and secondary care to develop effective and efficient referral routes into the programme
- Using population health data to identify key priority groups in order to focus referral generation activities (strategic thinking and application is essential)
- Generating and sharing service performance feedback, referral and outcome data with primary and secondary care settings
- Working together with primary care colleagues to create targeted messages/letter to patients, whilst supporting their population health goals
- Working with colleagues across all of our Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments – we’re always looking to share knowledge and resources!
- Ensuring due consideration is given to Information Governance and Clinical Governance legislation, requirements and guidance
- Helping us maintain the ethos of Thrive Tribe by driving our organisational culture forward across our services and using every opportunity to embed our values!

To work with us in this role you will need to have some knowledge or experience in networking, referral generation and/or partnership management, as well as an understanding of health inequalities and approaches on how to engage those experiencing them into health promotion services – bonus points if you have experience of working with partners across a healthcare system!
We are looking for an outstanding Engagement & Partnerships Manager, to cover the Isle of Wight. If you have built pre-existing partnerships within the health and wellbeing sector across Hampshire, then we’d love to hear from you!

Contract: Part Time (18.75 hours), Permanent
Salary: Starting at £26,000 (pro rata) with the banding rising to £28,000 (pro rata) per year.

Location: This role is home-based, but will require regular travel throughout the Isle of Wight. The role requires applicants to be a car driver and have access to a car for this role.
