Join us on our journey to empower over a million people to change their behaviours and thrive!
At Thrive Tribe we deliver award-winning healthy lifestyle and wellbeing programmes that make people happier and healthier! We’re looking for a Health Coach to join our Tier 2 weight management service in East Sussex, to support our priority groups.
The role will encompass delivering a range of healthy lifestyle interventions, specialising in supporting adults with a learning disability.
The programs have been tailored to this priority group, allowing clients to benefit from support and encouragement in every session, covering topics such as nutrition, movement, sleep, alcohol intake and mood; to guide them to manage their weight and overall health and wellbeing.
Like all roles at Thrive Tribe, you can expect your time at work to be fun, varied and challenging. We don’t like to stick to a firm JD as we know from experience that things change throughout the lifetime of a role and it gives our people the chance to play to their strengths.
A typical day as a Health Coach for the priority groups might include :
Delivering evidence-based interventions that focus on diet, nutrition, physical activity, behaviour change, and psychological support.
Adapting the delivery approach to be appropriate for people with a learning disability.
Working alongside key partners to ensure the programme is fit for purpose
Motivating, inspiring and supporting individuals to manage their weight and adopt a healthier lifestyle, through a professional, knowledgeable and empathetic approach
Implementing aspects of an individual’s health improvement plan including SMART goal setting, taking into account their risk factors, individual lifestyles and motivations
Ensuring an excellent and safe experience for clients, aligning with our internal policies and procedures
Accurately recording and monitoring data, including client progression
The role may require some evening work to cater for our clients' demands. This may be at least one evening per week
Working with colleagues across all of our Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments – we’re always looking to share knowledge and resources!
Ensuring due consideration is given to Information Governance and Clinical Governance legislation, requirements and guidance
Helping us maintain the ethos of Thrive Tribe by driving our organisational culture forward across our services and using every opportunity to embed our values!
